Pete is committed to helping everyone who is struggling with movement, whether that be pain when you're running, difficulty looking over your shoulder or trouble with your squat.
He grew up in Watford and played sports as a kid. He gave them up as a teenager, concentrated on school, did some A levels and then was at a loss as to what to do. So, he joined the Army. After the normal basic training - marching, running, shooting, etc. off he went to learn his trade. He spent 18 months learning how to be an electronics engineer. In that time he re-took up swimming and running, both of which he was pretty decent at but nothing too special.
During the 10 years he spent in the Army, he travelled all over the world, and often not to the nicest of places.
More importantly, and what has shaped his career now, is that during that time, he had a lot of minor injuries, including Achillies Tendonitis, ITB Syndrome, Patella Tendonitis, a dislocated shoulder, strains and sprains...
It was the Achillies tendonitis that got him down. He spent 12 months on a physio programme with regular visits for various treatments - massage, accupunture, electro-accupunture and twice daily 45 minute exercise programmes. With the end of the pain not in sight and no hope of promotion (due to not being able to physically complete a promotion course) he decided enough was enough and resigned.
So Pete qualified as a Personal Trainer in 2015 and now loves what he does – helping people to live healthier and fitter lifestyles through rehabilitation and therapy, and with my history based in electronics, and now neurologically, I see the body and pain differently to most.
Pete loves being outside, walking the dog, running and more recently gymnastic-style strength training.
He is married to his lovely wife Jo, and they have a very smiley daughter, Maisie, and a lunatic cocker spaniel called Max.
