My name is Harrison Chan, and it is with great joy and pride to commence my journey with such a fantastic and skilled team, in such a fantastic clinic here at Total Balance. With this said, it is also with joy to welcome you.
I graduated with a first degree in Sports Therapy and Rehabilitation in 2018, however my drive and enthusiasm to aid in optimising peoples everyday has derived from a young age from the knowledge, observation, and experience of both the physical and psychological detriments that can accompany sporting and occupational injuries and conditions.
Throughout my life, I have also always enjoyed being outside, whether it be simply walking my three dogs... or being walked by them..., to playing football from sunrise to sunset. I have always had a passion for many sports including football and tennis, however, my keen interest in the anatomy and physiology of the musculoskeletal system began to blossom more and more after suffering various injuries throughout my life, and that interest has only continued to grow since.
Looking back in hindsight, the required treatment for the injuries and conditions I had suffered was not provided for correctly. And I have always believed that our bodies are complex gifts, with capabilities of achieving beyond comprehension when cared for. And that’s why we’re here. It brings me happiness to embark on any journey, long or short, simple or complex, to optimise your everyday, and to regain and maintain your optimal health.
